Bench, rack, curl, extension
When one frame has to be the whole gym, this is the shelf. Squat rack, press bench, preacher pad, leg extension and plate storage sharing a single base plate — and, at the top of the range, a plate-loaded chest press with spotter arms.
The capacity numbers here are split by station, and that is deliberate: the bench takes one load, the rack another, the leg frame a third. Read the one you will actually use hardest. Width matters too — a 47-inch grip rack changes what a wide-grip press feels like if you are broad through the shoulders.

The long answer
A press set is the middle ground between a bare pad and a full cage: uprights, bench and leg frame sharing one base plate, each with its own rated load.
Because the stations are independent, so are their limits. On the 1,980 lb set that is 880 lb through the bench, 660 lb through the rack and 440 lb through the leg frame. Someone chasing a heavy bench cares about the first figure; someone doing volume leg work cares about the third. The sum is marketing.
A 40-inch inner distance suits most pressing. At 47.44 inches the hands sit outside the shoulders without the uprights crowding them, which is what broad-shouldered and six-foot-plus lifters are missing when a wide-grip press feels like a triceps exercise. Catches under the bar line and a safety pin turn that into something you can do alone.
Fit a leg extension arm and the set runs close to eight feet front to back, plus walk-out room. Tape the footprint on the floor before delivery day. Where the room cannot give that up, the foldable Olympic bench stands against a wall with the plates still racked on the back of the frame.
Straight answers
No. Every set here is frame only, which is what keeps them shippable and affordable. Standard and Olympic bars both fit the uprights.
You squat out of the uprights rather than inside a cage. Keep working weight to what you can re-rack on your own, or move up to a full cage.
Hip and back extensions. The foldable Olympic bench includes one, which saves a second frame in the corner.
Chalk notes
Two benches can both say 800 lb and mean different things. Here is how to read the number, and which one to compare when you are choosing.
